Recently I've seen a lot of celebrities doing "What's in my bag" videos, and I'll be honest I've always wanted to do that. So here's my version called "what's in my tote bag"! Occasionally my friends will call me the 'mom friend' because I usually have the thing they need in my bag (or because I act like a mom sometimes. It makes my heart feel warm when they say that!). So this is a perfect trend for me.
I think this is also a cute way to get to know me a little bit, and I'd love to do this every so often as life goes on to see how my bag contents change! I'm imagining myself in the future doing a "What's in my baby bag" post and not going to lie, it's making me a little emotional. ❤ Haha.
Let's jump into it.
THE TOTE BAG
First things first, the tote bag. I am a sucker for cotton canvas tote bags! Especially ones that are sold in local book shops, coffee shops, etc. Unfortunately I don't have a link to the one I purchased since I bought it in Tampa. In my opinion, cotton canvas tote bags are the way to go! They are less tox than polyester, go with almost every outfit, and are perfect for any occasion.
WALLET
I recently switched from a larger wallet to a GoDark Slim Wallet that holds up to 6 cards. This wallet is so cool and very affordable! I wanted something that blocked RFID and was small enough to fit in my Thread crossbody, and this was a perfect choice. It fits my license, debit card, credit card, health cards, and more. I highly recommend it!

It's not a tote bag haul without the beauty products!
As someone with chronically dry lips and dry skin, I can't go anywhere without some moisturizer and lip balm in my bag. My sweet friend in Tampa actually started her own tallow skincare business and her products are AMAZING! I started using her tallow moisturizer and lip balm last year and I am so obsessed with them. Her company is called Ela Skin Co. and I use her Unscented Everything Butter and Vanilla Tallow Lip Balm. Don't worry- I'll be mentioning her products again in one of my future blog posts! 😉
I never leave home without my Badger Bug Spray or Itch Relief Stick since I am literally the biggest mosquito magnet. You have NO idea how many times this has come in handy! Badger's products are made with organic, natural ingredients- I highly recommend.
Another important thing I have in my tote bag is a first aid kit from Welly! It's been super handy when I need a band aid, get a scrape, or run into a box at the local zoo and cut my leg (yes, this happened). Their first aid kit has band aids, ointment packets, hydrocortisone packets, hand sanitizer, and even comes in a cute, durable tin.
I also have a mini storage pouch in my tote bag that holds some hair ties, a scrunchy, bobby pins, safety pins, glasses cleaner, a compact mirror, and some pads/tampons just in case.
FOOD + Drink
I'm a big snack girl. I always make sure I have a snack or two in my tote bag if I'm out for a long period of time!
My fave snacks at the moment are That's It apple and strawberry bars and Chomps beef jerky sticks. Both of these are great, clean snack options with simple ingredients. I buy mine from Sprouts or Costco, but I've seen them at Kroger and Publix too.
When it comes to water, I'll either bring my Clearly Filtered water bottle or a Mountain Valley glass bottle. I'm personally not a fan of tap water, so that's why I bring my own water when I go out.
Other things
Depending on where I'm going, I try to carry a book with me. Currently I'm reading "Get Out of Your Head" by Jennie Allen and I'm loving it! If I'm waiting for my iced matcha latte at my fave local coffee shop or waiting for my car to finish up at the dealership, I love pulling out a book and slowing down to read it.
I also love bringing my Polaroid camera when I'm out with my girl friends. I'm obsessed with Polaroid pics! I think it's such a cute way to take photos with your friends and it's easy to throw in my tote bag.
